“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your heart. Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” By Carl Jung….The 24 young women of Cinco
Ranch Color Guard will portray the emotions attached to the trials and tribulations along the journey of life. Performing on a Georgia O’Keefe inspired yellow rose, with costuming, staging and choreography-we present to you “Radiant Awakenings”. What Is Color Guard?
The Cinco Ranch Color Guard under the direction of Mr. Rob Strain is an award winning group. They are ranked as one of the top guards in the state. This group forms a special bond both on the football field and off. In the fall Color Guard marches with the band and adds the visual effects to the band’s performance. The guard spends hours perfecting formations, dance, flag and weapon work.
Winter Guard
Starting in January the Color Guard goes into their own competition which is called Winter Guard. We compete at both the Texas Color Guard Circuit and WGI (Winter Guard International). Our Guard unit has brought back to Cinco Ranch High School 4 Texas Color Guard Circuit State Awards, Last attended WGI International competition was ranked 4th in the World from the WGI Championship in Dayton, Ohio, along with many other first place awards. Our guard unit has been known to set the standard for technical and creative movements with the equipment.
