Band Banquet

Some frequently asked questions and answers pertaining to the banquet:

Where is it & how does one park? 
It is at the Merrell Center by the Administration Bldg near Katy High School. Just go west on I-10 and turn right on FM 1463 and then left into the Merrell Center complex. There is plenty of parking and we have been asked to part on the West side of the center due to the Choir banquet. 

What do the students wear? 
The girls usually wear their homecoming dress again or something nice. The guys usually wear nice pants, nice shirt, and sometimes tie and jacket. Absolutely no jeans. 

Who comes to this shindig & what does it cost? 
All current high school band students are invited (band, color guard, and jazz band) and senior students have designated seating if they so desire. Students can have a date as long as they pay for the date's dinner. ALL current band students are free. ALL parents of current students are invited and senior parents have designated seating if they so desire. And, of course, grandparents may come as well. Dinners are $21.00 each. 

ONLY STUDENTS, THEIR DATES, THEIR PARENTS (GRANDPARENTS, ETC), AND DIRECTORS WHO HAVE TURNED IN AN ORDER FORM MAY ATTEND THE BANQUET.

ALL current band students are free. All other dinners are $21.00 each. 

Why come? 
It is a blast! We have slide shows of the band and the seniors. We have awards given out for each band. We have a nice sit-down dinner with a great dessert bar. Socializing with others is always fun. And of course the kids like the dance at the end.
