Welcome new and returning band/color guard members and your families to the spectacular 2011 - 2012 Cougar Band year.
Our marching show, ”The Four Freedoms” is under the direction of Mike Ouellette, Ray Jones and Lisa Hall.
This Packet is full of pertinent information. On the back of this letter is the Band Boosters Board Roster. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
In addition, Mr. Ouellette, director of bands, has a letter to welcome you to this year’s marching season.
The 2011-2012 season starts with full band practice on Monday, August 1st and Money Day on Saturday, August 6th.
MONEY DAY(madatory attendance) - Saturday, August 6, 9am to 12pm & 1pm to 3pm. This is the only opportunity for you and your student to purchase required
band/color guard supplies, tax-free. In addition, spirit items for students and parents alike are available for purchase, such as shirts, hoodies and yard signs. Samples will be available
for your review. Reviewing the sample money day form online will give you a better idea of the costs.
All forms and information needed are available online. Please print these out and bring to Money Day.
Please bring more than one check to Money Day. Membership, BBQ, Money Day and some of the optional items require separate
payments. The following forms must be completed and turned in on money day unless specified otherwise.
Parent Authorization to Consent to Treatment of Student: required for participation in band/color guard activities.
This form is due on first day of Marching Practice, August 1. It must be notarized. There will not be a notary at Money Day, typically your bank will notarize for free.

Uniform Volunteer Form
Parent Chaperone Form: parental support makes our trips and games successful. Bring your calendar so that you can sign
up for training and chaperone opportunities.

practice Medic and much more
Cougar Band Family BBQ and March-Off Meal Order Form: more info below
Our annual Cougar Band Family BBQ and March-Off will be held on Friday, August 19 from 6pm to 8pm in the high school main campus commons and in the
back parking lot. Please park in front of the school. The BBQ meal order form is due on August 15. Late orders can not be accepted and meals will not be available for
purchase the night of the BBQ. Meal order forms can be turned in on Money Day or placed in the band hall safe. The evening's activities are a wonderful opportunity for
everyone to get to know each other and to see the musical and marchirg accomplishments of tha Cougar Band students.
