This performing group is comprised of students with similar performance abilities.

When marching season is completed, after-school section rehearsals will begin. A section rehearsal will occur once a week after school, and lasts one hour. 

Auditions for Symphonic Band will be held before each semester. Auditions are based on the following criteria:

• Report card grades
  
• Behavior and attitude
  
• Practice habits
  
• UIL-prescribed instrumentation (section size)
  
• Band rehearsal/performance attendance
  
• Tryout music performance
